It was in the depth of winter, close to the end of the old and the beginning of the new year, when a group of rare visitors reached the ancient city of Tinderos. Numbering around two or three dozen, the men and women seemed to be mostly soldiers. Their tabards were coloured red and blue and their shields showed the dragon of Zweiwasser.
It was plain to see that the group had seen action of late and had travelled far. The armour and clothing of the soldiers was torn and bend and had been repaired only partially. Some of the men and women had wounds, but these were not fresh and had been tended, though they were not fully healed.
The man leading them wore a flat silver helmet, decorated with golden flames. When asked about the purpose of his visit, he introduced himself as Balor the Red, Margrave of Zweiwasser.
"I am here on my way back home to my fiefdom in the north, coming from the end of the world and I wish to see Count Vincent, as soon as it pleases his grace."
