As Emeline is asking all the questions Ila smiles at her while they're waking over towards Lerea. "I don't know but we'll have to find out, won't we" she carefully with Lereas help gets the bug into the bigger Jar and following the rest back to the tavern.
What grows in the ashes?

The group returns to the tavern. Unfortunately, the paper has been damaged by rainwater and mould and only parts of the original texts have survived. These however seem to be very old indeed.
Over the course of the next three days, the bug gets more and more lethargic. It rarely moves and its light dims. All efforts to make it more comfortable do not change its condition.

It's been three days now. Three days at this battered inn. Three days watching Morton the Bugsuffer and slowly losing spirit of life. Three days of headache trying to wrap my Braun around that almost alien text. Three days since I got blown up. Which probably didn't help the headaches... It reminds me, I need to write that letter to Daddy.
Her trail of thought was interrupted by the steamy goodness from a hot cup of Tea, Andrei placed in front of her. She wrapped her hands around the mug.
"Thank you" she said silently, still starring i to nothingness. Hmm, I wonder if I somehow could rejuvinate Morton.
"Hey Andrei, do you know anything about lightbugs? I was thinking, the bug sought refuge in that dark, dank compartment of the ceilling in the tower. It was also attracted to that lullabye and magical energi Ila made. Perhaps she can help as well..."
She took a sip of her tea. It had a nice herbal taste, but was still a bit too hot.
She pauses
"When are we even going looking for those plants?"

"I've been collecting... Stuff. Might have found the right plants but I've just put them in a pile. Thought once you're done fondling my tea, you could take a look-see. How the letter coming along?" Andrei took off his bow and sat down on the floor in a slump. He had kept himself busy with scouting for plants and wildlife, potential tomb raiders and plants. In that order.
